Pericardium 6 Acupuncture Acupressure Point


Location

On the wrist, two cun proximal from the wrist, between the two tendons

Location Note

Slide the finger from the wrist crease down between the tendons to a point where the finger catches. Locate the point gently.

Needling

Shallow, oblique or vertical insertion. 0.5 cun. Deep needling can cause a strong sensation or feeling of electricity as the medial nerve is under the point.

Uses:

  • Alleviates nausea and vomiting
  • Palpitations and digestive problems.
  • Calms the mind, particularly for premenstrual tension and irritability.

Contraindications

Avoid deep needling due to median nerve underneath point.
